Beaten Down, Worked Up

On May 1, Filipinos all around the country observe Labor Day to recognize their dedication to hard work. People relax and spend the day with their loved ones in the Philippines. The festivities in Malacanang, the current Presidential palace and previous American Governor's residence, as well as other important cities like Manila, include labor movements and parades.

These actions raise awareness of their grievances, which cover the minimum wage, inhumane working conditions, and other issues that restrict employee rights. Regardless of their field of work, every hardworking Filipino is acknowledged on this day.

Honoring this day is the same as recognizing our diligent colleague.  The celebration of the events and accomplishments related to the labor day movement is most frequently linked to Labor Day. This day, on which we honor the contributions of all employees, is one that we must not forget.
